Biography

  • Prof. Francesco Saverio Mennini, is presently Professor for Health Economics and Economics (Business Administration Course) at University "Tor Vergata” Rome, (Faculty of Economics). He is also Professor for Political Economics at University of Rome "Tor Vergata”, Faculty of Science.
  • Visiting Professor, Institute of Leadership and Management in Health, Kingston University, London , UK (from 2011).
  • Research Director, Centre for Economic Evaluation and HTA (EEHTA), CEIS - Faculty of Economics, University of Rome Tor Vergata.
  • President Elect, SiHTA (Italian Society of Health Technology Assessment).
  • Past President, ISPOR Italy Rome Chapter.
  • Formerly, he has led a career as a researcher in the field of Health Economics and Industrial Economics, at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata” and the National Research Council.
  • His main contributions have dealt with Health Technology Assessment (HTA) and Pharmaco-economics, Welfare policies, health system analysis, and pharmaceutical economics.
  • Prof. Mennini has been the scientific coordinator of the Master in Health Economics at University of Rome "Tor Vergata for several years; he has been a scientific coordinator and member of the Regional Observatory for the HTA, from 2003 to 2006.
  • Prof. Mennini has been the chair of the Scientific Committee of the European Conference on Health Economics (ECHE).
  • Prof. Mennini is member of Regional Scientific Commettee on HIV and HCV (from 2011).
  • Prof Mennini is member, as economists expert, of Consiglio Superiore di Sanità. (from 2017).
