STAGE General Assembly and Annual Meeting

April 21-23, 2026

Villa Mondragone
Via Frascati, 51, 00040 Monte Porzio Catone RM, Italy
Room: Sala degli Svizzeri

Ageing with multi-morbidity is likely preventable. STAGE is a European Research and Innovation project studying healthy ageing and multi-morbidity using a life-course approach. It tackles the gaps in knowledge to understand life-long processes and their connections with biological, environmental, social, historical and infrastructural factors. We need to gain a deeper understanding of people’s diverse living environments, social stressors, and the biology of ageing. Our research will use data spanning the entire life-course to enable us to understand ageing patterns. This knowledge will be translated into concrete, effective prevention programmes and solutions for people to age more healthily.

The Ageing Deal’s joint efforts aim to foster dialogue between European research and innovation actions and civil society to co-create equitable, inclusive, and sustainable solutions that support healthy ageing in European societies. The network of projects — COMFORTage, STAGE and SmILE — develops and pilots science-based solutions to support the transformation of healthcare systems, addressing immediate healthcare needs (e.g., demographic pressures, digital transformation, AI, innovative medical technologies) while contributing to long-term system sustainability and equity.
